When you think of Spring Cleaning does cleaning your Roof come to mind? Most of us had to remove the debris accumulated in our flower beds and in the nooks and crannies around our home this spring. Removing the wet piles of leaves are a normal part of maintaining the home’s landscaping. Lawn debris that lurks in corners traps in moisture, so does the debris on your roof. While the membrane on your facility is intended to keep moisture out, it is affected by stagnant, sponges of accumulated rubbish. Often we find small twigs, leftovers from other contractors who have been servicing HVAC units, and miscellaneous items that don’t belong on a roof scattered about. Clogged drains and downspouts need attention. When Mother Nature blows, the wind pushes these items around, putting your roof at risk for unnecessary cuts, punctures, and leaks.
